Questions
Is Lyfto the same app as Lyfta?
No. Lyfto and Lyfta are separate apps from separate developers and are not affiliated. Lyfto is an independent app made in Norway, built around an AI coach that reads your training history. Lyfta is made by Lindberg Development AS.
Which workout tracker has an AI coach that knows your training history?
Lyfto has a chat coach inside the app that reads your whole logged history. Hevy offers an app inside ChatGPT that can answer questions about your Hevy history. Fitbod, Alpha Progression and Boostcamp use algorithms or questionnaires to plan workouts rather than a coach you talk to.
Which of these apps is free?
All except Fitbod have a free version. Boostcamp states no cap on custom programs. Hevy caps free routines at 4, and Strong and Lyfto at 3. Lyfta says Premium unlocks unlimited routines but does not publish the free number. Fitbod has a 7-day trial and then needs a subscription to log new workouts.
Can I move my workout history to Lyfto?
Yes. Export a CSV from Strong, Hevy or Liftoff and open it in Lyfto under Settings, Data, Import data. Other CSV files go through a general import.
How we compared
We read each app's App Store listing (Norway and US), its website and its help centre on 6 October 2026, and only wrote down what the app states about itself. Where an app does not publish a number, such as a free-tier limit or which in-app price is monthly or yearly, we say so instead of guessing. App Store ratings are left out because the apps are listed in different countries for very different lengths of time. Spotted something out of date? Email supportlyfto@gmail.com and we will fix it.
